Fall Semester, 2024Luxembourg Roof Study questions the environment of a city’s roofscape by arguing for this space to be host to a new generation of public interaction.
I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Luxembourg for the fall semester in 2024. While abroad, I took an architecture studio that challenged my preconceptions around diagramming, structure, and architecture’s place in a city.
Conceptual work, process work, and final design was all done digitally through Rhino3d. This allowed the ideas that I had to be realized or altered much faster than normally, giving me the ability to not feel invested in one or another.
Work was done both in the studio and while traveling, which gave me a much broader perspective from which my concepts could grow. This project began individually and ended with a studio partner, Lizzy Shiplett. Work not done by me will be noted as such.
